Are you a detail-oriented and driven accounting professional looking for a meaningful opportunity in the non-profit sector? Our client located in Downtown Los Angeles, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis with the potential for permanent hire.
Pay rate for this job is $36.00-$38.46 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
Month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all our accounting tasks
Provide support for annual audits
Maintain and strengthen internal controls
Prepare financial reports and statements
Analyze and reconcile accounts
Assist with budget preparation and forecasts
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a senior accountant
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or relevant field
