Safety Support Associate (Onsite)
Contract Location: Onsite in Los Angeles, CA 90027
Contract duration: Approximately 2-3 months
Shifts available: Swing and Day shift
Pay Rate: $21-$24 per hour (Dependent on incoming experience and education)
Responsibilities:
Client support and interactions, establish rapport and build trust with homeless individuals and veterans
Distribute food, change linens, complete incident reports and case notes for families, notify additional security services as needed
Basic needs assistance, ensuring access to essentials
Monitoring the environment to ensure the safety of clients and the facility
Case management assistance, conducting assessments as needed to understand each client’s unique situation and needs
Resource referrals, documenting and reporting, advocacy, skill building and continuous training and learning
Qualifications:
Prior experience working with the homeless community and a genuine desire to make a positive impact is preferred
Relevant experience in case management or a similar role is highly desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with program participants
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in using computer systems and software for documentation purposes
Bilingual fluency (English and Spanish) is a plus
