Senior Accountant


Location: Las Vegas, NV


Pay Target: $70,000 - $90,000 per year


LHH is partnering with a distinguished client in Las Vegas seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team. If you are a motivated professional with a background in real estate, construction, property management, or real estate development, we encourage you to apply.


Key Responsibilities:


  • AP/AR Management:
    • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate coding, processing, payments, billings, and receipts in a timely manner.
    • Verify that AR report ties to GL and AP Aging ties to GL.
  • Financial Review and Analysis:
    • Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Reclassify coding entries as needed to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Distributions and Reporting:
    • Assist in the details of monthly owner distributions.
    • Create monthly budget-to-actual reports with variance notes.
    • Process distributions for non-owned managed properties.
    • Send out property reports to owners.
  • Bank Reconciliations:
    • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
    • Deposit receipts at the Bank of Nevada.
  • CAM Administration and Tax Preparation:
    • Manage Common Area Maintenance (CAM) Administrator tasks.
    • Collect backup data for year-end tax schedules.
    • Assist with maintaining Secretary of State (SOS) schedules and payments.
  • AR Management:
    • Review accounts receivable and assist with updating and collecting accounts.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in real estate, construction, property management, or real estate development using Yardi software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret financial data.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
