Job Title: Global Sourcing Buyer
Location: Lake Oswego, OR
Hours/Schedule: 7:00am-4:00pm, onsite
Pay Details: $30-$32 per hour
Summary: This position is a Global Sourcing Buyer working in a support role to the Operations Manager and Global Sourcing team. The candidate will bring their combination of education, experience, and skills to elevate the activities of the Global Sourcing group.
Essential Duties:
Collect and analyze industry data, reviewing available information with associates.
Maintain positive professional relationships with company stakeholders both external and internal.
Perform data and document tasks as necessary to support the expansion of the Global Sourcing group.
Job Duties:
Provide direct support to Management and team associates.
Collaborate with international vendors on raw material contacts.
Review bid & offer analysis with sourcing group.
Collect and record agricultural data for traded commodities.
Provide summary reports of collected agricultural data to global sourcing & commercial groups.
Support global sourcing group with stakeholder support.
Foster positive business interactions to maintain strong vendor relations.
Assist in documentation creation, recording, filing, and retention for internal and external reporting.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the safety or health of employees or others.
Undergraduate degree with Agriculture, Business, Economics, or Accounting.
Knowledge of agriculture & food practices, direct experience preferred.
Global exposure with agriculture &/or food products.
Conceptual Understanding: Business Strategies, Agriculture food manufacturing, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Management, Business Law.
