The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and assisting with financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end closing processes.
Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Prepare and maintain accounts payable and receivable records, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and present them to management on a regular basis.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax returns.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure that all invoices are properly coded and paid on time.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting and provide financial analysis as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or AP/AR accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Property industry experience is preferred but not a must.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
