Our client is seeking a Buyer focused in Manufacturing to join a dynamic team in the Knox County, OH area. This role would best fit individuals comfortable building strong relationships internally and externally, and have a passion for strategy and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and other manufacturing supplies.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to maintain optimal stock levels.
Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new product developments.
Requirements:
4+ years Procurement experience within the Manufacturing industry
SAP strongly preferred
Inventory management
Cost Experience
Negotiation
Bachelors degree in related field
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
