LHH Recruitments is looking for a Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist, reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, will be responsible for customer service, payment posting, collecting overdue customer balances, and other assigned duties and projects. This role is located in KC Metro and contract-to-hire basis.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Assist with customer collections by creating and sending invoices, statements, and form collection letters.


  • Log and track customer refund requests and their status.


  • Post and allocate incoming payments received daily via check, ACH, and credit card.


  • Post adjustments to customer accounts, including finance charges, as approved by the Accounts Receivable Manager.


  • Analyze and monitor account balances, maintaining effective control and communication for all accounts that are late, overdue, or potentially overdue.


  • Perform routine and ad hoc analysis of customer account activity.


  • Set up new customer accounts in the accounting software, ensuring accuracy of all demographic information, including addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and preferred contact methods.


  • Complete other projects or tasks as assigned.


Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:



  • Minimum of two years of responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience, including accounts receivable and collections.


  • Strong multitasking abilities with a desire to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate challenges and present actions and solutions.


  • Excellent customer service skills.


  • Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with Excel, and the ability to learn and master required accounting software tasks.


Pay: $22 -$28/ph
