UI/UX Designer (Web)


Location: Irvine, CA (1 day onsite, may eventually become fully remote)


Hours: 40 hours/week


Job Type: Contract, W2, benefitted


Duration: 6 months



Our client is seeking a talented UI/UX Designer with a strong focus on user experience and a flair for creating visually compelling web designs. This role involves collaborating with a dynamic team to enhance the user journey and develop creative campaign assets.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Engage in creative brainstorming sessions to simplify complex requirements into elegant design solutions.


  • Produce key art and iterate from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes.


  • Utilize and expand our design system, ensuring consistency and innovation.


  • Communicate design elements such as page flows and animations to stakeholders and engineering teams.


  • Collaborate with UX researchers to test designs with real users.


  • Infuse brand identity into all digital communications, including email campaigns and core digital content.


  • Present creative concepts and completed designs to leadership and peers.


Skills and Qualifications:



  • 5-7 years of experience in UI/UX Design, with a strong portfolio showcasing web design skills.


  • Proficiency in and Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator)


  • Familiarity with front-end languages (HTML, CSS) and frameworks (without coding).


  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color, and composition.


  • Experience with responsive web design, ensuring optimal user experience across devices.


  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.


  • Familiarity with Google Material design patterns and WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines.


  • Experience with JIRA for project management.


  • Basic video editing and motion graphics skills are a plus.


  • Passion for transactional web design, from ideation to implementation.


Education:



  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field.
