- Lead and manage civil design projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and support.
- Develop and design site plans, grading, drainage, and utility systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and assess the impact of new construction sites.
- Oversee all project stages, from initial layouts to final engineering designs.
- Survey new construction sites and evaluate existing structures for potential upgrades.
- Enhance CAD software drawings and schematics with innovative design improvements.
- Perform cost estimations and prepare detailed project budgets.
- Create work schedules, allocate resources, and supervise junior engineers, construction managers, workers, technicians, and contractors.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Inspect completed projects to ensure compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.
- Document processes and present project progress updates to senior managers and clients.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is highly preferred
- Must have 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience, ideally from an engineering firm specializing in civil engineering, surveying, and architectural services
- Registered Professional Engineer License preferred; candidates without registration but with significant experience will also be considered.
- Must possesses proven project management experience with the ability to handle projects ranging from $3M to $250M+
- Must be proficient at using AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or Revit/BIM
- Must have knowledge of current civil engineering and construction specifications, standards, and codes
- Must possess strong time-management and organizational skills
- While not often, you must be available to perform occasional site visits or attend in-person client meeting when necessary (all travel would be local to the office and fully reimbursed)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
