LHH is seeking a Distribution Center Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a client located in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will manage all inbound and outbound operations at your facility and oversee a team of supervisors and approximately 75 hourly employees. This is a unique opportunity to positively contribute to a high-performing organization, set and achieve KPIs, and leave a lasting impact. The compensation ranges between $85,000-95,000 and includes a variety of medical insurance plans, generous PTO, and a 401K with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement effective strategies to execute distribution operations for inbound and outbound shipments as well as oversee inventory control
Manage client demands in a fast-paced distribution center environment
Identify and lead process improvement projects
Consistently achieve productivity, quality, delivery, and budgetary targets
Oversee a value-added warehousing and distribution environment
Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements
Coordinate with department leaders across the organization to ensure consistent effective communication and alignment of objectives
Develop, monitor, and guide the development of all new-hires through our hands-on training program and ongoing professional development initiatives
Effectively communicate with customers, remain complaint with their standards, and make preparations for site visits
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management and/or related field is required
A minimum of 5 years of experience within a warehousing and/or distribution environment with onsite storage is required (not trucking or brokerage)
A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in previous warehouse management/supervisory roles is required
Must have experience with ERP and WMS systems
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma is preferred
Ability to speak or understand the Spanish language is preferred
Must be willing to learn, self-motivated, and a positive leader
