Accounts Payable Specialist

Contract/Temp to Hire
$22.00 - $25.00 per Hour
- Process accounts payable invoices and reconcile vendor statements
- Review invoices for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- Code and enter invoices into accounting software
- Prepare and process weekly check runs
- Maintain accurate and organized vendor files
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner
- Provide support to the accounting team as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in accounting or finance preferred
- 1-3 years of accounts payable experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Experience with accounting software, such as PeopleSoft, preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
