VP of Accounting Hybrid-Direct Hire-CPA Required


Position Overview: As the VP of Accounting, you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance for the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.


  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts according to GAAP and regulatory requirements.


  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and develop long-term financial forecasts in collaboration with senior management.


  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.


  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks and opportunities for the organization.


  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.


  • Systems and Processes: Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and policies to support the company's growth objectives.


  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives and business plans.


  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial results and insights effectively to senior management, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.


Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.


  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally as a Controller or VP of Accounting


  • Public Accounting Background: Strong foundation in public accounting with experience in auditing or advisory services preferred.


  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare dynamics and financial best practices preferred.


  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.


  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
