LHH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEC Financial Reporting Consultant for a contract assignment with one of our Houston area clients. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of SEC regulations, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and other disclosures in accordance with SEC regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Ensure compliance with SEC filing deadlines and reporting requirements, including XBRL tagging.

• Conduct research on accounting and reporting issues, interpret new SEC regulations, and provide guidance to clients on their implications.

• Perform financial analysis and provide insights to clients on their financial performance and disclosures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

• 3+ years of relevant experience in SEC reporting with a strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations, including familiarity with the SEC reporting process and forms.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members.

• Experience with SEC reporting software and XBRL tagging tools is a plus.
