LHH Recruitment Solutions an opening for a Wastewater Senior Project Engineer for our client in the Hillsborough Township NJ area. This direct hire role allows you to expand your engineering career within a fast-paced wastewater and utilities industry! This on-site position requires a minimum of six-years current experience in a Project Engineer/Management experience and prefers candidate that have a strong background within water design and reuse projects in 10,000 gpd to 1 MGD (40 m3/d to 4000 m3/d) or greater.



LICENSED as a PE REQUIRED.



Salary range: $110k - $120k annually.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Oversee water/wastewater operations, capital improvement projects, project forecasting, etc.


  • Ensure completion of tasks by overseeing directives to technicians, vendors, and supervisors.


  • Oversee annual budget, capex management, coordinating projects, initiate corrective actions, and forecast/analyze any long-term operational downtime and/or issues.


  • Lead design efforts and oversee junior engineer design efforts.


  • Ensures proper environment and continuous improvement for the educational process by determining work priorities through scheduling of repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, equipment, and systems.


  • Creation of and implementation of programs by reviewing reports and statistics, review quality control reports, and inspecting operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operational standards.


  • Prepare and present technical reports for clients and regulatory divisions.


  • Develops initiatives and uses a technical approach to oversee aspects of process resolution, and continuous improvement toward improved production, production costs decrease, and reliability.


  • Oversees capital improvement and renovation projects; reviews project specifications; analyzes design, and ensure monetary goals are met by performing preliminary and final review for construction projects.


  • Manage the technical team in a manner that supports teamwork and development while providing technical leadership within any issues regarding maintenance.


  • Use safe working policies and practices consistently.


  • Represent the organization to vendors, clients and agencies in a professional manner.


  • Seek RFQ/RFP for contractors, sub-contractors, etc.


  • On site visits to oversee project progress.



REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering.


  • LICENSED as a PE REQUIRED.


  • Project management, RFP/RFQ processes experience required.


  • Minimum (6) six years of experience in project management, wastewater project management, water management.


  • Must be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, utilization of situational leadership, servant leadership and the creation of a vision for the department.


  • Proven knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, hydraulics, piping systems, electromechanical systems and instrumentation.


  • Experience leading the design of water/wastewater applications.


  • Experience in collaboration with; mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, Geotech, survey, etc. internally and externally.


  • Proven proficiency in using Revit and AutoCAD.


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
