Planning and scheduling: Using production planning software and tools to create and maintain schedules that align with customer orders, delivery dates, and inventory levels
Managing inventory: Working with procurement and warehouse teams to monitor and control inventory levels, and to prevent stockouts or overstocking
Collaborating with others: Working with managers, team members, and other departments to set production goals, and to identify production needs
Communicating: Communicating production progress to higher management, and working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
Analyzing data: Using data from demand forecasting to plan production requirements, and analyzing inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels
Improving processes: Identifying areas for improvement to ensure cost-effective production
Solving problems: Investigating problems that arise during production and finding solutions
Creating reports: Creating reports of activities carried out in production planning
