As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the finance team as the Manager of Financial Reporting (SEC).
Position Overview:
They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to lead our financial reporting functions. The Manager of Financial Reporting will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, compliance with SEC regulations, and maintaining strong internal controls. This position reports to US Controller and offers an excellent opportunity for career development and leadership within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
SEC Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Stay abreast of changes in SEC regulations and accounting standards, implementing necessary updates to reporting processes.
Financial Statements:
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to GAAP principles.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain relevant financial data and disclosures for financial statement preparation.
Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting, regularly evaluating and enhancing controls to mitigate risks.
Work closely with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit-related matters.
Technical Accounting:
Research and analyze complex accounting issues, providing guidance to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to align with evolving business practices and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of financial reporting and accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skillset and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is required.
Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience preferred.
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, SEC reporting, and technical accounting.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
Experience in leading and managing a team of accounting professionals.
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments.
