LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients looking to fill an Affordable Housing Accountant job for the corporate office in Greensboro, NC. This job is 100% in-office! We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented accountant that has experience in real estate or property management. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks mainly for the affordable housing portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties.

• Perform reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and process security deposits.

• Review and analyze financial data to identify variances and trends.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and the year-end audit process.

• Conduct monthly analysis of property expenses and provide recommendations for cost savings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Strong knowledge of government housing programs and regulations

• 3+ years of working with housing authorities in an accounting capacity

• Proficiency in using Yardi would be nice to have coupled with strong Excel skills

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
