Job Posting: Financial Manager
Location: Gainesville, TX
Pay: $55/hr to $60/hr based off experience level
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Objective:
The Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing the monthly financial reports, month-end closing process, and accounting operations for the plant. This role leads the accounting team, ensures timely resolution of accounting issues, and performs detailed analysis of monthly financial statements. The Financial Manager will supervise the accounting staff and manage the financial affairs of the division, including internal and external audits, internal controls, and the preparation of financial analyses, interim and monthly financial statements. This position operates with limited supervision and has significant authority in managing financial operations and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily finance operations of the company, including source-to-pay, order-to-cash, and treasury functions.
Supervise the global monthly and quarterly financial close process, reviewing and approving significant accounting transactions, monitoring the team's progress, and resolving key financial issues.
Act as the primary subject matter expert on technical accounting matters, including audits and financial reporting.
Lead and manage the implementation of the firm-wide ERP system, including the group reporting solution.
Maintain the division’s system of accounts and ensure proper documentation of all company transactions and assets.
Coordinate and support the preparation of monthly finance reviews.
Serve as the liaison with internal and external auditors.
Assist in preparing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and participate in strategic planning processes.
Oversee tax planning and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local taxes, including corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
Lead and manage the local accounting staff (AP team, AR team, internal control), providing guidance, training, and performance management.
Ensure effective internal controls and financial reporting processes for the organization.
Supervise and direct the work of accounting staff, making recommendations for hiring, firing, promotions, and other personnel changes.
Manage and prioritize ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by the executive team.
Qualification Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred.
Proven experience leading and managing high-performing teams, including mentoring and developing staff members.
Work Experience:
7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of general ledger, accounts reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Experience in managing financial operations, including ERP implementations and proficiency with financial consolidation software.
Professional Skills:
In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and GAAP.
Familiarity with IFRS and federal and state financial regulations.
Proficiency with spreadsheet software and other office productivity tools.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare and interpret complex financial reports, statements, and projections.
Expertise in cash collection, internal controls, and financial operations.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
