LHH is partnering with a dynamic and rapidly growing construction company located in El Cajon, CA. With a commitment to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction, they are expanding their team to support their continued success in the construction industry. They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team.
Position Overview: As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our client’s financial data and processing the accounts payable timely.
Responsibilities:
Process complex accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Process employee expense reports monthly
Prepare weekly check runs and payments to subcontractors
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any vendor issues
Review and verify purchase orders for accuracy and assist with any issues
Process sales and use tax
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the construction industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (Viewpoint, Procore, Sage, or similar system) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Knowledge of construction accounting principles is a plus.
