LHH is supporting a client of ours located in Detroit, MI that is seeking a Financial Analyst. This is a Temporary/Contract opportunity supporting a key corporation in the city. The company is a dynamic organization that is deeply involved within the community. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, positive personality that is able to handle a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis:
Analyze financial statements, market trends, and economic indicators to assess a company's financial health.
Gather, organize, and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
Conduct financial modeling and forecasting to predict future performance.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare clear and concise financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Communicate financial insights and recommendations effectively.
Investment and Strategy:
Experience in Grant Funding/Government accounting
Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
Monitor economic trends and market conditions to inform investment decisions.
Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies.
Budgeting and Planning:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial plans.
Monitor budget adherence and identify areas for cost optimization.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Identify and assess financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide financial insights.
Work closely with senior management to support decision-making.
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
Specifics:
Contract for 3-6 months with potential to convert to direct hire
Hybrid: 3 days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days work from home (Monday and Friday)
Payrate: $33-36/hr.
