Title: Investor Reporting Accountant


Location: Dallas, TX


Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 + Discretionary Bonus Potential



The Investor Reporting Accountant is responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting activities for a diverse investment portfolio. This position requires previous experience with a Big 4 Public Accounting Firm, ensuring a strong foundation in accounting principles and standards. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, conducting performance analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the investment portfolio, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.


  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and quarterly reviews, providing necessary documentation and explanations.


  • Generate customized financial reports and analysis to support management and investor reporting requirements.


  • Maintain investment accounting records, including valuation adjustments, accruals, and reconciliations, for various asset classes such as equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.


  • Perform complex accounting treatments for investment transactions, including fair value measurements and consolidation accounting.


  • Monitor investment performance and analyze key performance indicators to assess portfolio performance and risks.


  • Support fund administration activities, including capital calls, distributions, and investor communications.


  • Calculate and allocate investment income, expenses, and returns to investors in accordance with fund agreements and partnership documents.


  • Liaise with fund administrators and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of fund transactions.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation required.


  • 2-4 years' experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm, with a focus on audit or assurance services.


  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and investment accounting practices.


  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Bloomberg, and accounting systems (e.g., Advent Geneva).
