Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH has partnered with a construction company located in the West Dallas area looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The candidate must have full-cycle experience including processing invoices, vendor statement reconciliations, and purchase order management. They are using NetSuite but it is not required. The role is contract to hire and paying $23-25/hr.


RECORD KEEPING:



  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by setting bill due date reminders


  • Communicate with vendors to research and resolve all vendor issues


  • Maintain historical records by scanning invoices in the virtual filing system


  • Maintain vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:



  • Checks all invoices and obtains appropriate coding/payment approval


  • Review invoice coding for accuracy


  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of invoices


  • Process employee expenses on a regular basis


  • Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices as needed


  • Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies


  • Perform monthly account reconciliations


  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions


  • Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos
