LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an HR Assistant with 2 or more years of experience in Human Resources. This is an excellent contract opportunity for someone looking to gain hands on experience in HR, located in Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, including scheduling orientation sessions, preparing onboarding materials, and ensuring new hires complete necessary paperwork. This involves coordinating with various departments to gather all required information and materials, setting up meetings, and following up with new hires to ensure they are on track.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, providing them with a warm welcome and answering any initial questions they may have. This includes conducting introductory calls or meetings, providing tours of the office, and ensuring they feel comfortable and supported from day one.
- Create and distribute comprehensive onboarding packets, including company policies, employee handbooks, benefits information, and other essential documents. Ensure all documents are up-to-date and accurately reflect company procedures and policies.
- Organize and conduct orientation sessions to introduce new employees to the company, its culture, and their specific roles. This includes preparing presentations, coordinating guest speakers from various departments, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Ensure new hires have the necessary technical support, including setting up hardware, software, and access to company systems. Coordinate with the IT department to resolve any technical issues and ensure new employees have all the tools they need to perform their jobs effectively.
- Liaise with various departments to ensure new employees are properly introduced to their teams and managers. This includes scheduling meetings, facilitating introductions, and ensuring new hires understand their roles within the team.
- Track the progress of new hires through the onboarding process, ensuring all steps are completed in a timely manner. Use HR software to monitor completion of tasks, follow up with new hires and managers, and address any issues or delays.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Paylocity is required**
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in related field, or prior HRIS experience
- Minimum 2-4 years in Human Resources role
