LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced Collections Specialist for a Contract-to-Hire opportunity in Clarkston, MI. Collections Specialist Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Receive invoices/bills from the AR department and facilitate retrieving payment

  • Handle customer inquiries in a timely manner

  • Responsible for collection of medium to complex accounts within various situations

  • Apply cash, credit, and wire payments in a timely manner

  • Generate customer invoices as needed

  • Responsible for the research and resolution of escalated delinquent customers

  • Prepares justification packages to Management regarding the write-off or turn over to a collections agency for severely delinquent customers

  • Prepare weekly and monthly updates and status reports of outstanding delinquent accounts

  • Prepare and mail delinquent invoices to customers monthly, as needed

Collections Specialist Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of collections experience

  • Billing, Collections, and Accounts Receivable knowledge

  • 4 years of general accounting experience

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Prior use of ERP systems and intermediate Excel skills

  • Ability to resolve customer issues and or discrepancies.

Specifics:

Monday – Friday: 8am – 5pm fully on-site

Direct Hire

Compensation: $21-23/hr. (may have ability to stretch dependent on skill set and experience, please ask)
