Tax Manager up to $120K (Hybrid - Schaumburg or Loop)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for an international accounting firm that provides tax, assurance, advisory, IT, HR, marketing and other strategic business solutions. Salary commensurate with experience will range from $95K-$120K + Bonus plus health, dental and vision benefits, and 401K.

The Tax Manager will be coordinating activities related to the tax management and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in a variety of tax issues and have a proven track record of providing strategic and proactive advice in the accounting and tax areas. Key Functions include:

• Develop and oversee the implementation of effective tax strategies, policies, and best practices, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant tax payments.
• Manage all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including federal, state, and local filings.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns to ensure accuracy, minimize tax liabilities, and maximize tax savings.
• Act as a working tax expert, addressing technical tax matters promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct research and analysis of corporate tax laws, staying informed about legislative changes and providing recommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with external service providers, offering guidance and ensuring accurate information exchange.
• Guarantee proper classification and accrual of tax credits and deferred taxes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or requested in the realm of tax responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting or related
• 5+ years of related public tax experience
• CPA certification preferred
• Experience in maintaining client relationships
• A strong foundation and practical working knowledge of tax law including income, international, estate and gift tax planning experience.
