Sr Clinical Procurement Manager - Remote

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a fast-growing clinical trial organization seeking a contracted Senior Manager of Clinical Procurement to join their team for a long-term contract ASAP. This role is 100% remote, with a competitive pay range, depending on skills and experience.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Provide expertise and lead the development of vendor bids, contracts, budgets, and proposals.


  • Build strong relationships internally and with external suppliers to help develop clinical programs.


  • Define clear deliverables for business customers and suppliers to support supply chain initiatives.


  • Work with business owners, stakeholders, vendors, and the legal team to review contracts like CDAs, CTAs, MSAs, consulting agreements, SOWs, amendments/change orders, and other documents.


  • Oversee the vendor selection process, coordinating bid defenses and proposal evaluations, and working with program leads to create bid comparisons.


  • Ensure vendors are qualified and onboarded according to established processes and SOPs by partnering with relevant stakeholders.


  • Manage contract lifecycles with other departments like Legal when needed.


  • Join vendor governance meetings as needed.


  • Help measure and report supplier performance through issue resolution and KPIs.


  • Contribute to the development of procurement processes and tools.


  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in biotech/pharma, life sciences, outsourcing, supplier management, or a related field.


  • 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred, with at least five years of direct experience in end-to-end biotech/pharma clinical trial outsourcing.


  • Experience with the procure-to-pay (P2P) process and systems is required; experience with Coupa is a plus.


  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with all levels of the business.


  • Highly team-oriented and comfortable working with cross-functional teams.


  • Strong analytical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills.


  • Experience in clinical programs and working knowledge of GxP is preferred.


  • Proven ability to manage oversight, performance, and relationships with external suppliers and service providers.


  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of a rapidly growing biotech company.


  • Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle.
