Job Summary:
LHH is partnering with Fortune 500 Financial Services client who is seeking a skilled Information Security Specialist to join a dynamic team. This long-term contract position involves validating, authorizing, and implementing user access requests, resolving special access requests, and developing security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SIEM, Splunk, help desk support, and network protocols, along with excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Validate, authorize, and implement user access requests (adds, changes, deletes).
Resolve special requests for nonstandard or urgent access.
Identify resource requirements and set completion targets with internal customers.
Develop solutions impacting security, such as server moves, cleanups, and system upgrades.
Document information security processes.
Participate in special projects like new designs and system rollouts.
Stay updated on trends and developments in information security and the insurance industry.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in SIEM, Splunk, help desk support, and network protocols.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Additional Skills:
Knowledge of mainframe, Microsoft Office, Novell, UNIX, and information security.
Experience with user access management.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of NT, Novell, mainframe, ACF/2, UNIX, Windows 2000, etc.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
Independent judgment and sound business decision-making skills.
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum of four years of experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software communications, and network protocols.
Previous help desk experience is desirable.
Applicable certifications preferred.
