Job Title: HIM Inpatient Coder - Trauma and/or Research University Experience

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled HIM Inpatient Coder with experience in trauma and/or research university settings. This remote, contract position offers the opportunity to work from the comfort of your home while contributing to a dynamic and innovative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately assign ICD-10-CM-PCS and/or CPT-4 diagnostic and procedure codes to patient charts.
Abstract selected data items and enter them into 3M encoder/Epic software with precision.
Complete UHDDS data abstraction as required.
Maintain a detailed log of work performed.
Perform other duties as directed by management.
Qualifications:
RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS Certification.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in inpatient medical record coding.
Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy and physiology.
Familiarity with Windows applications, Outlook, WebEx, and other relevant software.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to concentrate on tasks in an open, distracting environment and work independently.
Capability to minimize distractions in a private work-from-home space.
Attention to detail in applying local, state, and federal coding guidelines.
Shift Information:
Day shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
