Accounting Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting a company in Chicago with a search for an Accounting Specialist. This is a temporary to hire role supporting the accounting team with accounts payable and accounts receivable. The Accounting Specialist will also assist with month end close, special projects and audits.

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Communicate payment terms to customers, revise and rebill as needed

• 
  

  Customer account and invoice analysis and discrepancy resolution

• 
  

  Apply payments to accounts

• 
  

  Vendor payment management and follow up

• 
  

  Process payments to vendors including matching, coding and approvals

• 
  

  Prepare check runs

• 
  

  Reconcile bank accounts

• 
  

  Accruals for month end

• 
  

  Prepare accounts payable and accounts receivable reports for month end and year end

• 
  

  Assist with special projects and audits

Required:

• 
  

  2 years of prior experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable

• 
  

  Microsoft Excel experience including look ups and formulas

• 
  

  Excellent customer service skills

• 
  

  Ability to handle multiple deadlines with accuracy

Pay: $25-$30/hour
