LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Payroll Specialist, for a permanent opportunity, working in the office, for a company in Charlottesville, Virginia.


Duties include processing a weekly payroll by approving time and attendance information, calculate and very pay calculations, benefit deductions, garnishments, taxes and other deductions. Process direct deposits as well as manual checks. Handle the uploading of payroll entries into the general ledger and manage withholdings. Research and resolve any payroll discrepancies and answer any payroll related questions.


Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of high volume payroll processing experience from beginning to end and comprehensive knowledge of payroll tax laws. Must have strong attention to detail, math aptitude, able to work in a fast paced environment and confidential. Someone who has used automated payroll systems and proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word). Manufacturing or distribution industry experience is a plus.


MUST pass a criminal background check, credit check and drug test.


Permanent Salary Range: $50K to $55K
