- Assist attorneys in the preparation and drafting of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Manage and oversee the administration of estates, including gathering and valuing assets, preparing inventories, and handling distributions.
- Conduct legal research and provide support in probate matters, including filing petitions, preparing court documents, and communicating with court personnel.
- Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and answering questions related to their estate planning and probate matters.
- Coordinate with financial institutions, beneficiaries, and other parties involved in the estate administration process.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns related to estates and trusts.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong background in estate planning and administration.
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with probate procedures and willingness to learn and develop skills in this area.
- Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Employment Type: Direct Hire
- Compensation: up to $75,000 annually
