Bilingual EHS Manager

$95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per Year


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of EHS programs, policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all employees, visitors, and contractors; protect the environment, and maintain compliance with all national and local regulations for manufacturing plant.


  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and advise management of emerging environmental health, safety and welfare legislation


  • Develop, implement and conduct safety training programs and conduct training sessions at for all manufacturing employees and contractors


  • Maintain and communicate HS&E statistics and metrics


  • Support in risk assessments and external safety audit/inspections and bring forth recommendations that will improve working conditions and reduce risk factors


  • Coordinate the integration of environmental management and sustainability issues into policies, rules, services and operations


  • Promote best practice in energy use, waste reduction and sustainable development and consult management on all matters relating to health, safety and environment to ensure consistent application


  • Maintain records of safety violations, OSHA, workers’ compensation cases and administer the chemical safety program, including requirements for hazardous communication and global harmonization


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety & Environmental Engineering/Science or a related field


  • Bilingual Spanish Required


  • 7-10 years of experience or a combination of education, training and experience


  • Expertise, knowledge and understanding of OSHA


  • Must be able to possess RCRA/DOT certification for handling of hazardous waste


  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations related to Health, Safety and Environmental
