Purchasing Assistant Location: Carlsbad, CA Type: Temp-to-Hire Pay Rate: $22/hr Work Schedule:

  • Flexible hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Role Overview: This newly created role is designed to support the growth of the company. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for procuring supplies, services, commodities, and equipment for various departments. This role requires a keen eye for detail and strong administrative skills, particularly in Excel. Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and review purchase requests
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships
  • Handle sales order entries for drop shipments (OEM)
  • Create and maintain part numbers for aftermarket and tour models
  • Issue and track purchase orders for OEM and non-stock items
  • Communicate with manufacturers regarding shipping schedules
  • Assist all departments with supplies, services, and inventory needs
  • Cross-train for other positions within the division as needed
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Excel and other related software
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors
  • Good communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Initiative and the ability to interact with people at various levels
