Real Estate Legal Assistant

$60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per Year


This position will play a vital role in supporting attorneys with a variety of commercial real estate and corporate transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled legal assistant with a strong understanding of these practice areas to gain valuable experience at a prestigious firm.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to a team of attorneys specializing in commercial real estate and corporate transactions.


  • Draft and prepare legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions, such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing documents.


  • Assist attorneys with corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and entity formation.


  • Conduct legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations related to commercial real estate and corporate law.


  • Manage and maintain client files electronically and in hard copy, ensuring all documents are readily accessible and organized.


  • Prepare and manage attorney timekeeping, billing, and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm policies.


  • Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals involved in transactions.


  • Perform other legal and administrative tasks as assigned.


  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work performed.


Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant in a commercial real estate and/or corporate law setting.


  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate law and corporate law principles.


  • Experience drafting/preparing legal documents for commercial real estate transactions and corporate transactions.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


  • Experience with legal research databases a plus.


  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.


  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.


  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members.


  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
