Job Title: Medical Customer Service Representative


Location: Alsip, IL Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour workday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM Compensation: $18 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite


Job Description:


LHH Recruitment Solutions is excited to partner with a healthcare client in the Alsip area seeking a Medical Customer Service Representative to join their team. As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring our client’s patients receive the necessary medical devices. Your primary responsibilities will include:



  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to ensure eligibility for medical devices.


  • Order Handling: Process and manage medical device orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.


  • Patient Account Creation: Create and maintain patient accounts in the system, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.


  • Data Entry: Enter patient and insurance information into the system accurately and efficiently.


  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with patients over the phone to gather necessary information, provide updates on their orders, and address any inquiries or concerns they may have.


Qualifications:



  • Medical Background: Previous experience in a medical customer service role, medical reception, or similar position. Experience with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is highly desirable.


  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using medical software systems; experience with Brightree is a plus.


  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and insurance providers over the phone.


  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry and order processing.


  • Customer Service Orientation: A patient-centered approach with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
