Job Summary:


Client is a global chemical manufacturer based in Europe. The Senior HR Generalist role is part of the Americas region, overseeing 6-8 sites and functional groups across North and South America. Success in this role requires drive, integrity, motivation, functional expertise, forward thinking, and a dedication to the company’s success.


Primary Accountabilities/Functions:


· Provide HR support to 6-8 company sites and functional groups


· Manage the full talent acquisition cycle for assigned sites and functional groups


· Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes for assigned sites and functional groups


· Collaborate closely with regional and site managers within assigned areas


· Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers at assigned sites and functional groups


· Proactively support the delivery of HR processes and initiatives at assigned locations


· Lead recognition and engagement efforts for assigned sites and functional groups


· Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders


· Identify opportunities and develop proactive solutions to HR challenges


· Collaborate with managers on succession planning for key talent and positions


· Lead employee investigations and manage unemployment claims and third-party charges


· Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations, including employee retention strategies based on exit interview data


· Lead meetings with upper management and the executive team related to assigned sites or functional groups


· Prioritize and effectively respond to HR issues as they arise


· Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Manager


· Up to 20% travel within the U.S.


· Hybrid schedule until June 2024. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Carpentersville 5 days per week after June 2024.


Education and Experience:


· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field


· HR certification preferred (SHRM or HRCI)


· Minimum of 5 years of related human resources experience, with multi-site and manufacturing experience preferred


· Strong oral and written communication skills


· Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, SuccessFactors)


· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
