Contracts Legal Administrative Assistant


Overview:


LHH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Legal Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our General Counsel and legal department by managing a variety of administrative tasks related to contract management and legal operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling contracts, possess exceptional organizational abilities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-going temporary opportunity and operates on a hybrid schedule in the Alexandria, VA office.


Responsibilities:


· Contract Management: Efficiently manage the lifecycle of contracts from inception to execution and renewal, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.


· Document Preparation: Draft, review, and edit contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence under the supervision of the General Counsel.


· Database Maintenance: Maintain and update contract databases and electronic filing systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of contract documents.


· Coordination: Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the General Counsel and other members of the legal team as needed.


· Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external parties regarding contract inquiries and status updates.


· Research: Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support contract negotiations and legal projects.


· Compliance Monitoring: Monitor contract deadlines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion and compliance with contractual obligations.


· Reporting: Prepare reports and summaries of contract status and key metrics for review by the General Counsel and senior management.


· Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the legal department, including managing calendars, processing expenses, and maintaining office supplies.


Qualifications:


· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.


· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Contracts Legal Administrative Assistant or similar role, ideally within a corporate legal environment.


· Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).


· Strong understanding of contract terminology, legal principles, and confidentiality requirements.


· Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.


· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.


· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.


· Proactive problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.


· Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour Search managed by: Marissa Colosi
