Contract/Temp to Hire
$28.00 - $36.00 per Hour
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Analyze financial statements and records to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients.
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and up-to-date compliance.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide guidance on tax planning and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance and legal departments, to provide tax-related support and guidance.
- Assist in tax audits and investigations by gathering and analyzing financial data and preparing documentation as needed.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations and proactively advise clients and internal teams on potential impacts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members to support their professional development and growth.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
- 5 years of experience working as a tax accountant or in a similar role.
- Thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local tax codes.
- Needs to have a strong accounting background with some tax preparation experience (candidates with payroll tax experience won't be a great fit)
- Prior firm work experience preferred
