Staff Accountant

Contract to hire
$25.00 - $28.00 per Hour
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Assist in preparing annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare journal entries
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies in financial data
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Participate in month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification or progress towards certification is a plus
- Proven experience in an accounting or finance role
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
