Payroll Specialist - Part Time Only - 100% onsite ABQ, NM

LHH has partnered with an Construction services company who is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist on a part time basis with an emphasis on multi state payroll. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of payroll audit and tax experience as well as workday software experience. If this sounds like you please apply with your updated resume. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for employees across 16 states, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Conduct 100% audits of payroll each week to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

  • Manage tax-related tasks, including filing, reconciliation, and addressing notices.

  • Utilize Workday for payroll processing and reporting.

  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and provide support to employees and management.

  • Collaborate with the finance and HR teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Workday payroll processing.

  • Solid knowledge of multistate payroll regulations and compliance.

  • 5 + years minimum, mid-career or seasoned professional preferred

  • Strong reconciliation skills, particularly with tax accounts.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in a similar role within a multi-state company preferred

  • Familiarity with payroll audit processes and procedures

Pay Details: $38.00 to $41.00 per hour
