Payroll Clerk

LHH has partnered with a large local company to help fill their role of Payroll Clerk. The payroll clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. Responsibilities
  • Inputting employee work hours, overtime, and PTO in payroll system
  • Calculating and deducting the correct withholdings from employees' paychecks
  • Maintaining accurate and organized records of payroll transactions
  • Generating and distributing paychecks or electronic funds to employees' bank accounts.
  • Generating regular payroll reports for management, finance, and other relevant departments.
  • Keeping track of changes in employee status, such as promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, and updating the payroll system accordingly.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date payroll information.
  • Conducting and assisting in regular audits
  • Utilizing payroll software and ERP.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is a plus).
  • 1 to 2 years payroll experience
  • Data entry experience
  • Familiar with ERP
