How IT Leaders Can Help Their Workforces Adjust After a Round of Layoffs
John Morgan, President of LHH Career Transition and Mobility and Leadership Development, advocates for IT leaders to collaborate with HR, and for the use of temporary staffing to help workers adjust to new responsibilities.
Downsizing can put IT companies at risk of critical failures, such as a sharp decline in user satisfaction or security breaches, if immediate steps aren’t taken to fill resulting gaps in an organization’s workflow. Remaining employees need support to manage the emotional toll of seeing workers leave and manage any changes in responsibility - and leaders must have a plan in place to provide this.
John Morgan, President of LHH Career Transition and Mobility and Leadership Development, recently spoke with Industry Dive’s Jen A. Miller to discuss how IT leaders can help their workforces adjust after a round of layoffs.
