Due to significant and continued growth and the recent launch of a dedicated banking & finance team our client, a top National firm in Manchester, is seeking an ambitious Banking Associate to join their banking team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer who is eager to contribute to building this practice.


As a Banking Associate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the head of the banking & finance practice in Manchester. Additionally, you will collaborate with the national banking & finance team, broadening your exposure to diverse projects and clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide expert advice to banks, alternative lenders, funds, and other corporate and institutional clients on a range of financing transactions.
  • Work on various financing aspects of private equity deals, mergers and acquisitions, property development and investment financings, and more, supporting the firm's corporate and real estate teams.
  • Actively participate in business development activities, both independently and as part of a collaborative team, nurturing relationships with new and existing clients.

Our client's impressive base spans various areas of the UK market, including clearing banks, challenger banks, debt funds, international banks, and more. Required experience:


  • Ideally, between 1 and 4 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience gained in a reputable firm.
  • Ambition and a drive to progress in the banking and finance sector.
