Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Manager to join their team. As the Senior Credit Risk Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the credit risk function, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring that the organisation's credit risk policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
The Role:
Develop and implement credit risk strategies and policies to ensure sound credit risk management practises
Assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and analyse financial statements, credit reports, and related information
Review and approve credit limits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations
Monitor and analyse credit portfolios, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them
Provide expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on credit-related matters
Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes, and develop strategies to adapt to the evolving credit risk landscape
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in credit risk processes and systems
Keep abreast of market conditions and economic factors that may impact credit risk
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum of 7 years of experience in credit risk management within the financial services industry
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial information
Excellent knowledge of credit risk modelling, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
Proven track record of providing strategic guidance and effectively managing credit risk
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to lead a team and drive results in a collaborative environment
Professional certifications (such as FRM or CFA) are a plus
