About the Role:
As a Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and development of our client's business. You will work closely with the Head of Legal and collaborate with local leadership, ensuring that all legal aspects are managed effectively.
Your Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including:
- Professional services agreements
- Reliance letters
- Framework agreements
- Warranties
- Offer legal and commercial advice tailored to the needs of the organisation.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders across various functions, including:
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- Legal Qualifications: A solid legal background (qualified Solicitor or Lawyer).
- Contract Law Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract law, particularly in negotiating contracts with clients and vendors.
- Pragmatic Legal Advice: A proven track record of delivering commercial and high-quality legal advice.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex legal issues simply and effectively.
- Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and resourcefulness, with the ability to contribute to a highly collaborative environment.
Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with the engineering, transport, environmental, built environment, or construction sectors will be highly regarded.
