Group Financial Accounting Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions are currently working with an international charity based in West Sussex with the recruitment of a Group Financial Accounting Manager on a permanent basis.

The role can be predominantly remote with the need to go to the office on occasions for meetings (or more if you wish). This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong Accountant who has IFRS / Charity SORP accounting knowledge.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responsibility for the statutory reporting for the Group, the UK charity and trading company, including the preparation of year end accounts in accordance with the Charity SORP
• Manage the month end financial processing ensuring completeness and accuracy of data in the global accounting system to timetable, undertaking key reconciliation activities and monitoring integrity of interfaces between systems
• Project manage the global group audit process including pre audit preparation, management of the timetable and main point of contact for audit team staff and audit manager
• Preparation and review of FRS and UKGAAP reporting and technical accounting papers
• Manage and develop the group accounting function, and team members, with a focus on continuous process improvement particularly in support of the strategic objective "Strategic and efficient use of resources".

Key skills / experience required:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience of IFRS / Charity SORP accounting principles
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong people management skills
• Values driven with a passion to developing a strong culture within the team

Salary is up to £57,500 with a strong benefits package.
