We are seeking an experienced Energy Projects Associate to join our client's expanding team. As an Energy Projects Associate, you will have the opportunity to work alongside market-leading experts, providing regulatory and commercial legal advice on a variety of complex and engaging projects within the renewable energy sector. Our client, a highly reputable and nationally recognised organisation, regularly tenders for some of the most innovative and important projects in the country.


As an Energy Projects Associate, you will be working with a Tier 1 ranked team, known for their expertise and considered one of the largest Projects Departments outside of London. The team has been recognised as 'leaders in their fields' by Legal 500, further emphasising their reputation and collaborative nature. With a wealth of experience among the partners, you can expect a supportive and approachable environment that encourages professional development and growth.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide regulatory and commercial legal advice on large-scale projects within the renewable energy sector
  • Collaborate effectively with the team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork
  • Manage a complex and varied workload efficiently, ensuring high-quality work is delivered within deadlines
  • Show self-motivation and a willingness to learn, adapting to the evolving needs of the projects

Requirements:


  • Demonstrable experience providing regulatory and commercial legal advice on large-scale projects
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a complex and varied workload
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn and develop professionally
  • Demonstrated interest or experience within key sectors such as Energy, Defence, Sustainable Transport/Infrastructure, or public procurement
  • Must be a registered lawyer with the SRA or Law Society of Scotland
