LHH is partnered with a leading defence and manufacturing organisation as they seek a Principal Optical Engineer to play a key role in the research, design, and development of advanced optical systems.

The Role:

As a Principal Optical Engineer, you will contribute to the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to manufacture, integration, and testing. Working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you will develop high-performance optical solutions for complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to system architecture and lens design.
• Conduct performance simulations and optical analysis.
• Support integration and testing of optical systems.
• Develop solutions with manufacturing and assembly in mind.
• Collaborate with customers and external suppliers.
