Join Our Team as an Assistant Accountant.
Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career with a dynamic organisation? We are working with a pioneering manufacturer, on the lookout for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis for 12 months, with the potential for a permanent position.
Hybrid - 3 days on site
The Role:
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in our finance department, overseeing both accounts receivable and payable functions, as well as supporting month-end activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable Ledger:
- Conduct customer credit checks and set up/amend credit lines.
- Manage Direct Debit collections and ensure seamless order processing.
- Raise dealer invoices and credits while resolving any shipment or invoicing issues.
- Chase all aged debts and provide commentary on collections.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and manage payment allocations.
- Handle supplier queries and set up new supplier accounts.
- Organise quarterly in-house stock counts and reconcile variances. Month-End Support:
- Assist with the preparation of month-end accounts, VAT returns, and Intrastat Returns.
- Support the Financial Controller with audits, budgets, and forecasts.
- Contribute to maintaining health and safety standards within the organisation.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a financial role.
- Part-qualified Accountant, or qualified by experience.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent customer service attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing your own workload.
