Our client, a large organization in Lausanne, is seeking a:



Legal Director

Responsibilities


  • Advising the Executive Management and broader leadership team on the legal implications of key recommendations, strategies, and major transactions involving the organisation.
  • Representing the organisation in legal proceedings.
  • Managing litigation involving the institution and drafting decisions or procedural documents.
  • Overseeing relationships with external lawyers.
  • Drafting, validating, executing, and archiving contracts.
  • Leading the legal department.
  • Developing, enforcing, and managing legislative texts.
  • Serving as a member of the Risk Management Committee and other internal bodies.

Profile


  • Swiss bar exam certification (Brevet d’avocat): mandatory
  • Proficiency in French and English required; knowledge of German is an asset.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the legal area in a private company or public institution in Switzerland (both would be ideal).
  • Proven legal team management experience .
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and persuasive skills.
