Our client, a large organization in Lausanne, is seeking a:
Legal Director
Responsibilities
- Advising the Executive Management and broader leadership team on the legal implications of key recommendations, strategies, and major transactions involving the organisation.
- Representing the organisation in legal proceedings.
- Managing litigation involving the institution and drafting decisions or procedural documents.
- Overseeing relationships with external lawyers.
- Drafting, validating, executing, and archiving contracts.
- Leading the legal department.
- Developing, enforcing, and managing legislative texts.
- Serving as a member of the Risk Management Committee and other internal bodies.
Profile
- Swiss bar exam certification (Brevet d’avocat): mandatory
- Proficiency in French and English required; knowledge of German is an asset.
- At least 10 years of experience in the legal area in a private company or public institution in Switzerland (both would be ideal).
- Proven legal team management experience .
- Ability to work effectively in a complex environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and persuasive skills.
